Supporting Women Into Construction, Design & Trades

Build Her is a consulting and advisory platform dedicated to supporting women to enter, remain, and thrive in the construction, design, and trades industries. We work with schools, businesses, and government to create practical pathways, education, and industry-aligned support for women at every stage.
Who we work with
Schools
& Education
Providers
Supporting students and educators to understand real-world construction pathways, career options, and industry expectations.
Government
& Community
Organisations
Advising on programs, initiatives, and policy-aligned projects that aim to increase female participation in construction and trades.
Business
& Industry

Working with construction companies, design studios, and suppliers who want to attract, support, and retain women in their workforce.

Construction and trades remain male-dominated industries, not due to lack of female capability, but due to:

-
Limited visibility of pathways
-
Lack of early education and exposure
-
Poor retention and support structures
-
Cultural and structural barriers within industry

Build Her bridges the gap between intention and action by providing grounded, practical consulting informed by lived industry experience.

Our Approach

Build Her is founded on:
-
Practical experience – real construction and design industry insight
-
Education-first thinking – empowering through knowledge, not theory
-
Sustainable change – long-term impact over short-term optics
-
Collaboration – working alongside industry, not against it
We believe meaningful change happens when women are supported early, consistently, and realistically.
